Visiting the Eulenburg stands for becoming witness to lots of local history. Ancient records suggest the first applewine having been sold in the Eulenburg dates back to the year 1732. From 1852 on, the Eulenburg has been continuously run as a family business - by today already covering six generations. Whether hundreds of years ago as a rural pub on the outskirts of a small Frankfurt, or in current times in the middle of the nicest district of a booming world city, the Eulenburg has always remained down to earth and popular not only with locals. Mainly destroyed during the 2nd World War, however, the tavern has also survived the worst of times just to continue with new strength after the war.

Rebuilding and extending the Eulenburg's rooms and kitchen throughout the last decades has led to the spacious, historical and cozy environment, guests can enjoy today in the year 2009, during summer months even outside underneath well-aged chestnut trees. While many other restaurants stopped producing their own applewine over the years, this tradition is still the only choice of doing in the Eulenburg. Comes autumn, wine pressing of apples produces all of the following year's applewine supply. |
The Eulenburg invites you, to visit us and spend a relaxing evening with superb local food and the best applewine around, therefore, to also become a part of 275+ years of Eulenburg history!
